In a corner of CF Chinook Centre in Calgary, there is an ongoing exhibition entitled Next Generation of Artists of Alberta. The exhibit features three up and coming young artists of Filipino-Canadian heritage: Thea Galang, King Lontoc and Justine Pozon. As we celebrate National Heritage Month and #AsianHeritageMonth, let us celebrate the contributions of our young Filipino-Canadians as they make their mark in the cultural landscape of Alberta.
