Watch this quick walkthrough so you know exactly what to expect.

REMINDERS:

For Canadian public documents to be legally recognized in the Philippines, they must have an Apostille certificate, which verifies the document’s authenticity for Philippine use. Examples include birth and marriage certificates, academic records, and corporate documents like Certificate of Employments.

The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary does not issue Apostille Certificates.

In Alberta, Apostilles are issued by the Ministry of Justice – Official Documents and Appointments Office (Edmonton).

In Saskatchewan, they are issued by the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General – Authentication Services Office.

These offices attach Apostilles to provincial public documents issued in Alberta or Saskatchewan. Once a document has an Apostille, it is automatically valid in the Philippines and no longer requires PCG authentication.
